Completed while employed at Weston Miles Architects

Role: Designer and Project Manager through Construction

Location:  Salinas, CA

Year:  Completed in 2018

Budget: $500,000

The remodel of the 2nd floor office space for the County of Monterey Public Defender’s Office included the addition of a new lobby, reconfiguration of existing cubicles and filing systems, and the creation of collaboration areas, all within a tight timeline and limited budget.

New demountable glass wall systems were used to define spaces such as the conference room and lobby, adding transparency and flexibility. Select new furnishings were integrated with existing pieces to update the overall aesthetic while maintaining functionality.
