The Daniel Webster Elementary School site improvement project addressed several longstanding challenges related to safety, accessibility, and functionality. Prior to construction, the campus lacked adequate fire access, designated student drop-off areas, and sufficient parking for staff and visitors, while also facing limitations in overall campus security.

The scope of work focused on creating a safer, more efficient, and welcoming campus environment through a series of targeted site enhancements. Key improvements included:

-
Traffic and Parking Improvements: Development of a new dedicated student drop-off zone and expanded visitor parking to improve traffic flow and safety during arrival and dismissal times.
-
Staff Parking Expansion: Construction of a new 45-space staff parking lot to alleviate previous shortages and better support daily school operations.
-
Fire Access Upgrades: Integration of new and improved fire lanes within the site layout to ensure compliance with emergency access requirements.
-
Campus Security Improvements: Installation of new perimeter fencing and secure entry gates to enhance campus control and student safety.
-
Outdoor Learning and Recreation Areas: Addition of two new 30' x 40' shade structures in the play yard to provide sun protection and outdoor gathering space for students, along with the construction of a new soccer field to support physical education, recess, and after-school programs.

Together, these improvements have significantly enhanced accessibility, safety, and overall campus functionality, creating a secure, efficient, and vibrant environment that supports the daily activities of the school.
